The goldsmith Norbert Selbiger and his wife culture anthropologist Tarja Eklund had an idea. The jewellery should denote more as a piece of metal and jewel measured with gramme and carat. They wanted delight public with the fascinating world of art of jewellery.

The variety and versatility of art of jewellery show, how the old goldsmith traditions, technical innovations as well as too changes in the society have had an effect on it for hundred years. Not until in the 20^th century occurred the essential change in the field of jewellery by the industrial sizing. The jewel became anonymous and lost the face of his creator.

Apart from the industrial sizing developed rich and variety management and representation culture. Galleries, individual craftsman communities, goldsmith workshops, exhibitions and fairs presented and present too nowadays for those interested a rostrum in order to inform themselves about the art of jewellery and realizations of individual desires.

The purpose of the “kultS –jewellery exhibition in the workshop” in this rich and variety world of the art of jewellery is to present the old goldsmith tradition and its newest innovations of creativity and technique of goldsmiths and artists to public. The kultS deepens the knowledge about jewel and its preparation on one hand as an artistic creation with the individual thoughts and ideas and on the other hand as an artistic creation with the historical and social backgrounds. The kultS broadens the appreciations of the art of jewellery and brings the appreciations of functions of the business culture in the goldsmith field in different cultures to public notice.
